Papers of William Henry Bishop [manuscript], 1884-1893.

The collection contains manuscripts for "A Paris Exposition in Dishabille," with a lengthy description of the Eiffel Tower, 1889, a fragment from "Deodand" with a pastel illustration containing the initial "B" in the lower left corner and two pages from unidentified manuscripts. The collection contains six letters of Bishop to H. H. Boyesen, Oliver Bell Bunce, Houghton, Mifflin & Co., Joseph Marshall Stoddart, and a Y. M. C.A. Topics briefly noted include the dues to the Authors Club; proof sheets to new addresses; requests for an outline of a comprehensive course in Greek; and plans to remain in France. There is also an autograph inscription taken from a book [donated to the Y.M.C.A?].
